Mongo Indiana
has a long and interesting history in Northeastern Indiana.
Originally settled as a fur trading settlement in the 1700's, Mongo
has continued to quietly exist along the banks of the Pigeon
River. The name Mongo is short for the Indian name of "Mongoquinong."
Come visit our small town and spend a few days with us exploring
the Pigeon River and this beautiful Northern Indiana secret!
