Our rental fleet includes high quality RED canoes and colorful kayaks by Wenonah, Jackson, Old Town and Mad River Canoe. Kayak styles include traditional sit-inside, sit-on-top, fishing, tandems and kayaks just for kids!

The Trading Post has 6 canoe and kayak river trip options, unguided, which travel through the 13,000 acres of the Pigeon River Fish and Wildlife Area, one of Indiana's largest and most scenic properties. During summer weekends paddling is very popular. We recommend calling in advance so we can hold the watercraft and campsites you need.

The Trading Post has a small, but very popular, 70 site campground located on the same property as the canoe livery. All the sites are located along the riverside or surrounding our inland pond. The sites include a fire ring, picnic table, lots of shade and several offer electric hookup! .Fisherman love the convenience of having their camp and fishing spots be one in the same! If you are planning to camp with us be sure to take a look at our campground map here on the website, then give us a call and we will setup a reservation to ensure your space is available when you arrive.

The Trading Post is the 2^nd largest canoe livery in Indiana, and Mongo's original and premier canoe rental since 1971! We are family owned and have been consistently upgrading our equipment and our facilities to better meet the needs of our customers.

The Trading Post participates in Indiana's Adopt-a-River program and, with the help of our friends and customers, engages in a continuous effort to keep our river litter-free. We also take the lead role in keeping the fallen trees cut from the river; our customers and private paddlers alike benefit from our efforts!

We offer retail kayak sales and highlight Jackson Kayak as our preferred brand. We stock multiple different models so you can demo them on the river before you buy or we can custom order you new boat.

Stop in to visit our retail and camp store where you will find new kayaks, paddling accessories, vintage apparel, camping and fishing needs, firewood, ice, and snacks.
